I got my Jackson Superstar 63 in the fall of 2007. I've enjoyed it very much in the past few years. I kayak in Central Oregon where there is lots of lava rock which means there are lots of broken boats here. This boat has held up well so far.
The good:
-comfortable
-fast
-relatively stable for a playboat
-simple but very effective outfitting
-light weight but strong
-very dry because there are no holes in the boat
The bad:
-The deck is a bit low. For big legs like mine, my knees are pressed down a little lower than I'd like
-The backband didn't stay in the small of my back very well. I rigged it to work better with a short cam strap
-no drain plug
Overall, this is a really great play boat. I'd recommend it to anyone. |
