About The Authors Lynne Diebel grew up in Minnesota and has been paddling its lakes and rivers since she was a child. A former high school English teacher, she wrote ABCs Naturally, a Child's Guide to the Alphabet through Nature.
Robert Diebel, also an avid paddler since childhood, is a mechanical engineer whose favorite hobby is building boats. Since 2004, the Diebels have paddled almost 3,000 miles together in Minnesota, researching their two guidebooks: Paddling Northern Minnesota and Paddling Southern Minnesota.
