Paddling is a great way to explore Everglades National Park. More than one-third of this Florida sanctuary’s 14,000 square miles encompasses marine areas and estuaries under shallow water, showcasing fascinating habitats and diverse paddle routes. Paddling Everglades National Park introduces paddlers of all abilities to nearly fifty of the park’s premier paddling routes and describes each of the unique natural areas along the Everglades Trail, which stretches from the headwaters in central Florida to Florida Bay. Also included are brief accounts of the remnants of precolonial life along the routes as well as information on the park’s extraordinary angling opportunities.
